Chico Police are looking for a person who shot a man early Friday morning. They say Jacob Tracy, 23, was shot several times while standing outside a Nord Avenue apartment complex. Tracy says he has no idea who shot him, and he doesn't remember seeing anyone around right before he was shot. Tracy says he was hanging out with friends at the Sierra Villa Apartment Complex early Friday morning, when he walked outside to smoke a cigarette. He recalls hearing a gunshot ring out, then felt a burning pain in his back. He doesn't remember getting shot two more times, once again in the back, and once in the arm. Despite the attempt on his life, he says he is not angry. He says, "I think i'm more grateful that I'm not dead than mad. I don't even know who it was to be mad at."
Tracy is expected to make a full recovery. No other injuries were reported.
