The Chico Mall brought back the eighties today for its 25th year celebration. The event started around 11 today and had plenty of activities for the whole family. The Chico Mall opened on August 3, 1988 so the eighties theme was very fitting.
From an 80's D.J. to a Pac-Man machine, the celebration had all kinds of activities. Gift bags and neon bracelets were given out to those who wanted to celebrate. For the people who were decked out in eighties attire, they got to strut their stuff on stage for a costume contest.
Plenty of prizes were given out, including Chico Mall gift cards. The Chico School of Rock also hit the stage to provide some lively eighties entertainment. Three nonprofit organizations came out to support the celebration including the Butte Humane Society, Valley Oak, and many Butte College organizations.
