The 8th annual Chico Home & Garden Show was a huge success.
Hundreds of vendors and more than 9,000 people attended the show this weekend.
The two-day event took place at the Silver Dollar Fairgrounds where attendees viewed everything home and garden related.
Organizers say this event gives local and regional business a big opportunity to market to the public.
Some vendors sold hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of merchandise while this event also generated a lot of money to the local economy.
“We estimate we're bringing in from $3 to $5 million in terms of the local economy; at least in terms of sales made at this show,” said Andrew Coolidge, producer of the Chico Home & Garden Show. “Plus the additional revenue from people staying the night, going to local restaurants and things like that.”
