Firefighters are investigating what they're calling an intentionally-set structure fire that broke out at Pleasant Valley High School.
The Chico Fire Department responded just after 10:30 p.m. Sunday to the snack shack at the high school.
When crews arrived on scene, smoke could be seen coming out of the windows.
They said one of the windows to the snack shack had metal over it, and the other was covered with plywood.
Firefighters also said they found a shirt and other items shoved up under the plywood.
Adam Berg witnessed the fire at the snack shack. He said he was walking his dog near the track when he noticed smoke coming from the building and called the fire department.
The fire was put out in a matter of minutes.
The amount of damage caused by the fire is unknown at this time.
