Drought sufferers may have another way to keep their front lawns green. A Chico company is spraying lawns green making them appear full of life.
Grass-Magic transforms yards that look dull and gives them color. Owner Wes Rose simply sprays a water resistant green pigment over the grass. It only needs to be watered once a week and lasts three to four months.
"I spray it and within four hours it is completely pet and child safe and you can put it in your mouth." says Rose. "It lasts up to three months depending on your grass and how often you mow."
Rose got the idea from a Bay area blog and wanted to bring it to Chico. He says it costs roughly 25 cents a square foot depending on the grass type and can only be removed when the grass is mowed.
