Chico Community Ballet presents Sleeping Beauty

The Chico Community Ballet presents the magical story of Sleeping Beauty on the stage at Laxson Auditorium on the CSU, Chico Campus this week.

It's a timeless fairy tale that has captivated audiences for decades. The last time Chico Community Ballet performed it was 2009.

There are more than 22 children between the ages of 6 and 18 taking part. Jake Bevens will dance the lead role of "Prince Desire". Cameryn Titus, who has been dancing with the CCB since age 3, will dance the role of "Princess Aurora". Erin Deniz and Richard Deniz will play the parts of King and Queen.

Sleeping Beauty is directed by CCB Artistic Director Debbie Jorritsma, who promises glorious sets and costumes, and a feast for the eyes and ears ... something to delight the whole family.

Opening night is Friday, December 4th at 7:30 p.m. Performances are also scheduled for Saturday, December 5th at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, December 6th at 2 p.m.

The 2 p.m. matinee show on Saturday will also include an autograph party afterward with the dancers and characters in costume.
