The Chico City Council and the Airport Commission are scheduled to discuss the future of the Chico Airport Tuesday night.
The airport's future has been in limbo ever since SkyWest Airlines announced they would be discontinuing their service to Chico in December because of poor performance in the market. The move leaves Butte County without a commercial airline service.
The commission and City Council are also set to address airport management. The airport has been run by the city manager since 2005.
Last month Mayor Scott Gruendl released a five point action plan in response to SkyWest's decision, his plan suggested the funds budgeted for an airport manager, be used instead for the multitude of services that will be needed to address SkyWest's departure.
The meeting will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the City Council Chamber.
