More than 100 people came to Chico's Bethel AME Church Saturday night to join the rest of the county in remembering the victims of Wednesday's tragic shooting in Charleston, South Carolina.

In addition to a prayer and moment of silence, church members lit candles to remember each victim who died in Charleston. The service was open to the public and the church's pastor says he knew the Chico community would come together.

Chico's AME Church was built in 1867 and is the oldest African-American Church in Butte County.
