It's the music event that put Chico's music scene on the map and possibly the record books.
We're talking about #ChicoBreakstheRecord! The 24/7 live music event we introduced you to April 1st has come to a close. Organizers Julian Ruck and Emily Rose say the love and support of the Chico community is what made this all possible.
The event was intended to break the current Guiness World record for "longest multi-artist concert" of 15 days and 12 hours. Tuesday night the event wrapped up possibly doubling it. On record they ended at 29 days, 6 hours and 58 minutes. However if the time recorded before April 4th's black out counts, the total will be 33 days and 21 hours.
More than 800 artists took the stage with less than 25 seconds between each song and 5 minutes between each set.
In addition to the music, 2 witnesses and 10 warm bodies needed to be in the crowd at all times.
Action News Now would like to congratulate all that took part in this monumental event.
