The 6th annual Chico Bicycle Music Festival will ride through chico from noon until midnight Saturday, June 7th.

It's a non-profit event promoting "human powered" transportation and local musical talent. The audio equipment will be pedal powered by festival goers.

The event begins at Noon at the Camellia Way Park, where there is plenty of shade and a creek nearby. There will be a free Bike Valet Service as well as games and activities hosted by community organizations.

At 3 p.m. cyclists will pedal the festival through town ... towing electrical generators that will power the line-up of musicians along the way on a journey through Bidwell Park.

The final destination for the parade of bicyclists will be the Commercial Building at the Silver Dollar Fairgrounds, where the festivities will continue with more musical performances, and an adult fashion show by Chikoko, as well as Conceptual Light Bicycles by Greg Degouvia, whimsical bikes for people to ride.

Musical acts at Camellia Way Park include Kyle Williams, The Railflowers and Bunnymilk.

The lineup at the Fairgrounds includes Marya Stark, Western Divide, Wolf Thump, DJ Hocus Pocus and Mark Growden and Band.

Blush Catering will be on hand to peddle culinary creations and beer will be sold as well. Free water will be provided at a hydration station sponsored by Klean Kanteen. There will also be a Bicycle Art Show.
