Friday, December 4th marks the grand opening of a new exhibit at the Orland Art Center, featuring photographs of the medieval Spanish Chapter House at the Abbey of New Clairvaux.
The photographers are Steven Elliot and Wayne Wilson.
Elliot ... A poet and creative writer ... Works alongside his father and son in the family's electrical and solar contracting business.
He moved to the North State from southern California in 2003, and became a regular visitor to the Abbey ... Where the Chapter House was being reconstructed.
Wilson is a retired firefighter with a lifelong interest in photography, beginning at age 8 in Oroville ... with his first camera, a Brownie Hawkeye.
The inspiring photo essay will be on display at the Orland Art Center through December 30th.
The Artists Reception is Friday evening and monks from the Abbey are expected to be on hand.
It is open to the public.
