A few new restaurants are set to open in Chico, and a downtown favorite has closed after ten years in business.

In the coming months a Buffalo Wild Wings and a Panera Bread will be opening locations in Chico, while the Spice Creek Café announced they have closed.

Construction of the Buffalo Wild Wings in north Chico is on track and the restaurant is scheduled to open August 3, the store front is nearly complete.

Chico residents will have to wait a little longer for Panera Bread to open its new location near the Chico Mall. A company spokesperson tells Action News Now they expect the restaurant, which is at the site of the old Marie Calendar's building, to open in November.

A local favorite, Spice Creek Café in downtown Chico closed its doors over the weekend, after more than ten years in business. The restaurant has been sold and will re-open as Momona, a restaurant that will specialize in Asian Fusion. There is no word on when it will open.
