Chance of Showers Lingers In Your Wednesday Forecast

Dec 17, 2014 9:18 AM by Cort Klopping

The chance for wet weather will continue in your Wednesday forecast. Scattered showers are lingering this morning, with more substantial showers possible for the afternoon. The second system of this week is continuing to track to the East this morning, but a third system will arrive later on this afternoon. The chance for showers will continue into tonight, before dry conditions return for your Thursday. Temperatures are starting out in the high 40's to low 50's for the valley, and will be climbing into the 52 to 58 degree range this afternoon. Mountain areas are starting out in the mid 30's to low 40's, with 40 to 48 degrees expected for the afternoon.

Conditions will dry out on Thursday, before another wet system extends down from the Pacific Northwest on Friday. Friday's system looks to bring light rain, and snow showers to the region. Snow levels on Friday will be similar to today's. Dry conditions return to most areas this weekend, with the exception of a chance of showers lingering in the Northern Mountains.

Dry weather, and clearing skies look to be ahead for next week. There will be a slight chance for mountain showers returning on Tuesday, but most travelers will be met with ideal weather before the holiday. I hope everyone stays safe on the wet roads, and has a wonderful Wednesday!
