PHOENIX (AP) - A person with knowledge of details of the transaction says the Phoenix Suns have dealt Isaiah Thomas to the Boston Celtics.

The person asked not to be identified because the trade had not been officially announced.

Thomas was one of the two members of the Suns' point guard trio to be dealt. Phoenix traded Goran Dragic to the Miami Heat.

Phoenix acquired Cleveland's 2016 first-round draft pick and Marcus Thornton in the Thomas deal. The pick is top 10 protected.

Thomas signed a four-year, $27 million contract with Phoenix in the offseason in a sign-and-trade deal with Sacramento.

He averaged 15.2 points and 3.7 assists coming off the bench for the Suns.
