Celebrity photographer turns lens on Redding's homeless population

Over the next several days, celebrity and rock star photographer Nigel Skeet will take pictures of some of Redding's homeless population, people he says are often overlooked.

This project is called "Brothers, Sisters, Sons and Daughters," and the idea behind it is that we all come from the same place.

Skeet tells me he got the idea when he moved to Redding five years ago, and people kept warning him about the "homeless problem."

He now believes the homeless aren't the problem, but rather, the attitude that others have towards them.

"I am not necessarily out to change people's minds. However, if I can offer some relatability and show these people are just like you and me...," Skeet said.

The photo shoot will continue for the next couple of days.

Eventually, the images will all be blown up and displayed in a gallery.

And, if there's enough interest, he's considering compiling them into a book, with proceeds going to help the homeless.
