An incredible string of tornadoes ravaged parts of the Midwest and the plains overnight.
At least a half dozen twisters in Oklahoma alone.
It is a rare, intense glimpse at nature's fury. A deadly monster tornado, almost a mile-wide, captured up close, on camera chewing through everything in its path.
And now Tuesday morning, Wynnewood, Oklahoma is assessing the damage.
No structure spared. Brick homes, mobile homes, wood-frame barns were all ripped apart.
Across the country, at least 19 reported tornadoes, including touchdowns in Nebraska and Iowa.
But today, it is the small things in Wynnewood that loom large.
Lisa Buckner survived by racing to her emergency underground shelter.
Her home is shredded, but her will is not.
“Never in my life, I don’t want to do it ever again...it was horrifying," she said.
Better weather expected today for the cleanup, but another round of severe weather is possible tomorrow. It is, after all, the height of tornado season here.
