CASA of Butte & Glenn Counties is hosting a fundraising gala Saturday, March 21st called "Casablanca".
This is the 15th year for the event, which raises money for the Court Appointed Special Advocates Program.
The event experience, in a Moroccan theme, is billed as one that will entertain and inspire.
Guests will enter the Lakeside Pavilion that evening and feel transported to Morocco - complete with stunning décor and a festive atmosphere.
Highlights will include a photo booth, DJ, wine wheel, silent & live auction, dancing and a no-host bar.
Action News Anchor and longtime supporter of CASA, Linda Watkins Bennett, will be the emcee for the evening.
CASA volunteers are appointed by judges to watch over and advocate for abused and neglected children, to make sure their voices don't get lost in the legal and social service system or languish in inappropriate group or foster homes.
Volunteers stay with each case until it is closed and the child is placed in a safe, permanent home.
For many abused children, their CASA volunteer will be the one constant adult presence in their lives.
Tickets to the Casablanca Gala are $75. The event runs from 6 - 11 p.m. For more information visit http://nvcss.ticketleap.com/casablanca.
