The Butte County Public Health Department and the California highway patrol joined forces to help parents make sure their child's car seat is properly installed.
The car seat check-up event helped wrap up national child passenger safety week.
People who came in had their car seats evaluated and were able to leave with their child safer than they came in.
Butte County Health officials say the most common mistakes parents are making -- not having the car seat snug enough... And graduating their children to the next seat too soon.
If you weren't able to make the event, butte county health offers one on one appointments for car seat fittings.
