According to Cal Fire, around 4:30 Friday afternoon, a driver wrecked into a pole on the property of the Red Bluff Airport at the intersection of Luther Road and Airport Boulevard. The person was trapped and had to be extricated. The Red Bluff Fire Department and Cal Fire responded. Once the person was extricated from the vehicle, firefighters had to battle a growing vegetation on airport property. It grew to 7 acres before they were able to get it contained.
