A candlelight vigil has been planned for Skyler Millner, 13, to be held one week after he was hit by a car on the Skyway. Millner was struck by a man in a Mercedes Sedan as he made his way across the crosswalk in front of Annie's Country Cafe on May 31. Millner carried no identification, and he wasn't identified until the next day when his father realized he wasn't at his friend's house as he had planned. Millner's organs will be donated. Supporters across the north state community have begun organizing benefits for Skyler's family, including a candlelight memorial at the location where he was hit. It will be at 9pm Friday, June 7.
