ROHNERT PARK, Calif. (AP) - A Northern California woman has been arrested in connection with the kidnapping and murder of a businessman.
The Santa Rosa Press Democrat reports that Napa County Sheriff's Capt. Doug Pike says 41-year-old Angela Martinez Arias of Petaluma, California was one of four people involved with the disappearance and death of 44-year-old Reynaldo Pacheco last spring.
Arias was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of kidnapping Pacheco and helping carjack his SUV. Pike says detectives spent months sorting out her role in the crime.
Pacheco disappeared last March, and nine days later, his bound body was found in a remote creek bed in Napa, California. Her arrest comes almost nine months after two men were charged with the man's kidnapping, carjacking and killing. A third suspect has since died. Police say the crimes are possibly linked to a business deal gone bad.
