MARTINEZ, Calif. (AP) - A 44-year-old man has been found guilty in a Northern California court for the 1999 shooting death of his child's mother.

The Contra Costa Times reports Saturday that jurors found Raymond Wong guilty of first-degree murder after a day of deliberations.

Alice Sin was 21 years old and four months pregnant when she disappeared in 1999. Raymond Wong, who had a 1-year-old son with Sin, said he last saw her headed for a college group meeting.

Prosecutors say that Wong at the time had another pregnant girlfriend, Jessica Tang, with whom he conspired to kill Sin. Sin told friends Wong didn't want another child.

Sin's body was found two months after her disappearance, in the Nevada desert. Her abdomen was sliced open.

Wong's attorney has said he will appeal.
