FAIRFIELD, Calif. (AP) - Authorities say a California boy has been found about four hours after being abducted while sleeping in the back seat of the family car stolen in front of his home.
The 8-year-old boy was found about two miles from his home after a Fairfield resident spotted the stolen car parked in the neighborhood. Police found the boy inside.
Brock Guzman's father had placed the sleeping boy into the backseat of the idling family car at about 4:45 a.m. PST and returned to the home to gather belongings. When the father returned, the car was missing and police issued an Amber Alert.
Fairfield police found an unfamiliar bicycle near the abduction site and believe the car thief didn't know the boy was in the backseat.
