OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) - Federal officials say a San Francisco Bay Area man arrested last year for crossing state lines to engage in sex with an underage girl has been charged with producing child pornography in a case that may involve hundreds of other minors.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement says a grand jury on Thursday indicted Blake Robert Johnston of Martinez on charges stemming from an investigation by federal agents and Martinez police officers.
It says investigators found explicit images of more than 300 underage victims from across the country and around the world on digital devices seized from the 41-year-old Johnston.
Johnston was charged last year in U.S. District Court in Oakland with traveling to Oregon to pick up a 14-year-old girl with the intent to engage in illicit sexual conduct.
