According to CalFire, there are several active small wildland fires burning in Butte County. They say an active thunderstorm moved across northern and eastern Butte County early Sunday morning. That thunderstorm produced lightning through the mid-foothills, and higher elevations. Ten active fires have been identified in the Cohasset, Stirling City, Feather Falls and Berry Creek/Brush Creek areas. Of those fires, five of those fires were small and are contained. Crews are currently working on three fires in the Feather Falls/Berry Creek/Brush Creek area, and three in the Stirling City area. According to the agency, all of these fires are remote, and pose no threat to any community or any structures.
