CalFire Investigates Cause of Fire in Redding

Cal-fire is investigating the cause of a fire that broke out at a gun range in Redding today. The fire started just before 12:30 this afternoon at a gun range located on Fire Mountain Road. Six engines, four tenders, and one helicopter were all on scene. CalFire's latest report at 1:30 says it stopped spreading at ten acres and is currently at 80% containment. They haven't completely confirmed the cause, but CalFire says it's a strong possibility it was caused by gunfire at the range. As CalFire works to put the fire out, they will continue to investigate the situation.
