A team of firefighters have worked through the night and have put out the flames that erupted Wednesday evening at an empty warehouse in Gridley.
CAL Fire is reporting that while the flames are out, firefighters are still working to put out any smoldering remnants of the 500,000 square foot structure fire that burned throughout the night. Currently, CAL Fire has eight engines and approximately 20 firefighters still working to fully contain the blaze.
Officials reported that all a majority of the eastern wall of the warehouse has collapsed and now crews are still working to secure the north wall that is still standing. Crews estimate that they will continue working for the next couple of days to fully secure the site and issue a full containment report.
At the height of the fire, more than 16 engines, three fire trucks and more than 80 firefighters battled the raging fire.
