(UPDATE) 4:50 p.m.- Phase II of Cal Fire’s repopulation plan for the Clover Fire area was initiated at 4 p.m. today, the phase includes the following:
· The road closure in effect at Cloverdale Road and Dale Road is being moved to south Dale Road and Panther Road. Panther Road is open.
· * The road closures at Cobblestone and Cloverdale remains in effect.
· * A road closure at Gas Point and Lower Gas Point near the Veteran’s Cemetery will be established.
· * The closure at southern Gas Point Road will be moved to Gas Point and Coal Pit Road, Coal Pit road will remain closed.
All closures on Cloverdale and Clear Creek have been removed. Please use caution when traveling through the fire area due to emergency personnel.
(UPDATE) 10:19 a.m.- As of 10 a.m., Cal Fire has opened Clear Creek Road and Cloverdale Road to residents only. Law enforcement is requiring residents to provide proof of residency to get past the check point for security reasons (either a driver’s license or another document proving residency). Dale Lane to the south of Cloverdale Road is still closed. Cal Fire also plans on opening southern access to Lower Gas Point Road to residents around 4 p.m.
Update (7:00 a.m.): According to Cal Fire, the Clover Fire is now 65% contained. It has burned a total of 7,993 acres and has destroyed 68 residences and 128 outbuildings. 5 residences and 10 outbuildings have been damaged; 300 structures are threatened. 1,502 firefighters are working to get the blaze under control. Full containment is expected for Sunday.
Evacuation orders remain for the following areas of Happy Valley/Igo:
*Clear Creek Road and Cloverdale Road
*Everything southwest to Gas Point Road and Small Farms and Marsha Way
*Gas Point Road and Happy Valley Road
*Small Farms track south to Black Pine Road
*Cloverdale from Clear Creek to Oak
*Oak to PalmRoad Closures still in effect:
