Cal Fire/Butte County Fire will be holding a control burn and training exercise.
They will hold the 50-acre control burn in the Lake Oroville Loafer Creek Recreational Area.
Smoke will be visible from the south and southeast portions of
Authorities say the control burn will help reduce hazardous fire fuels by removing brush and other wood materials within the area.
Weather conditions will be monitored, and the burn may be postponed if burning conditions are found to be unfavorable.
