Butte runs win streak to five with 27-22 victory over Sacramento City

The Butte College football team is picking up steam at the right time.

The Roadrunners went on the road and notched their fifth straight win, 27-22 over Sacramento City on Saturday.

Butte improves to 5-3 overall and 2-0 in the NorCal League.

Roadrunners running back Martin Fleming led the way rumbling for 170 yards on 29 carries with one touchdown. Chance Trammel ran four times for 11 yards and one score.

Quarterback Taylor King, filling in for Tommy Hays who missed the game with a concussion, completed 17-of-30 passes for 237 yards and one touchdown. Wide receiver Joe Johnson hauled in 4 receptions for 70 yards and the score.

Defensive lineman Peter Sagapolutele tallied a sack and Mason Montgomery grabbed an interception.

Butte is back in action next Saturday hosting American River College at Cowan Stadium at 1:00 p.m.
