The Butte College football team continued to surge Saturday, picking up its fourth straight win 30-27 over Sierra College in Rocklin.

Running back Martin Fleming led the way, rumbling for 157 yards on 22 carries with one touchdown. Chance Trammel added 71 yards on 10 carries with two touchdowns. As a team Butte ran for 308 yards.

Quarterback Tommy Hays accounted for 244 total yards, 147 through the air and 97 on the ground. But a big hit in the fourth quarter forced Hays to the sidelines where he'd remain for the rest of the game. Head coach Jeff Jordan said Hays should be okay. Backup Taylor King came in and completed 4-of-4 passes for 39 yards.

Wide receiver Miles Fishback, a Chico High product, caught his first career junior college touchdown, a 19-yard connection with Hays in the first quarter.

Butte defensive lineman Tanner Cristando totaled two sackes. Anthony Hankins grabbed an interception.

Butte (4-3, 2-0 NorCal League) is back on the road next Saturday, taking on Sacramento City College at 4 p.m.
