Butte Meadows saw their first real snow in two years today.
By 1 pm, the Outpost Restaurant and Bar had filled with cabin owners stopping in for lunch before checking on their property.
Outpost Owner Bill Prichard says the timing of this snowfall is great, because it allowed folks to come cut their Christmas trees.
He expects some people to come up this weekend, but hopes they come prepared with warm clothes and a shovel.
It's also been a while since he's seen any significant snow.
"So everything we get this year is a bonus," Prichard said. And if we can get a good snowpack it'll help out with our drought and should be a good year for us. We're hoping for that."
The Outpost has a webcam they've set up on their property so you can see road conditions.
