Butte County Sheriff's Office Still Looking For Suspect in Feather Falls Shooting

The Butte County Sheriff's office is looking for the suspect who shot a man near Long Point Road in Feather Falls.

Law enforcement responded to a call at 1:20 p.m. of a shooting at an unknown address. The reporting caller stated a man was shot in the face, according to the Butte County Sheriff's Office press release.

Deputies located the man in a parked car on Lumpkin Road near Forbestown Road. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was treated for his injuries.

Officers tried to locate the suspect, who fled into a heavily wooded area. Deputies launched a search using a K-9 unit and helicopter. Deputies were unsuccessful in locating the suspect.

Investigators did find a large illegal marijuana garden located on the property, according to the press release.

Deputies do not have a motive for the shooting and are asking anyone with information is asked to contact the Butte County Sheriff's Office at 530-538-7321
