Christmas came three days early for nearly 100 kids in Butte County Tuesday.
The Butte County Sheriff’s Office teamed up with a handful of organizations to spread some holiday cheer. In all, 85 children local children received a refurbished bike.
For the last 16 years, Butte County inmates have refurbished bikes donated by the community to give to local children in need.
The Salvation Army and Butte County Office of Education helped the sheriff’s office identify children who benefit from the program. This year, each child also received a brand new bike helmet.
