The Butte County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help locating a 16-year-old girl who hasn't been in contact with her family since early July.

Monica Aldrich was first reported missing by her father in April and it was determined she ran away from her home in Chico.

Monica hasn't contacted her family since early July and concern for her safety and welfare is very high. It is unknown if Monica is still in the Chico area. Authorities say she could be in the Red Bluff, Redding or Los Angeles areas with an unknown male adult.

Anyone with information as to Monica's whereabouts is asked to contact Detective Freeman at the Butte County Sheriff's Office at 530-538-7671.
