The Butte County Sheriff's Office has arrested a man who was allegedly involved in a gang-related shooting on Balboa Court in north Chico on February 14.
The man, 18-year-old Andrew Morales was arrested by Butte County Sheriff's Office detectives on Mission Ranch Blvd just before 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, after someone called the Chico Police Department with a tip.
The witness told police she spotted a silver Infiniti that matched the description of the vehicle carrying a person accused of brandishing a weapon Tuesday afternoon near the intersection of West 2nd and Walnut Streets.
"The man we have custody is believed to be connected to the brandishing weapon case," Butte County Sgt. Jason Hail said.
"Our agency is working with the Chico Police Department to gather more information, we are currently in the middle of the investigation," he said.
Butte County Deputies were dispatched to the 600 block of Balboa Court after a minor male reported that someone fired several shots into his home.
When investigators arrived at the scene, they noticed three bullet holes in the window, and the windshield of a car parked in the driveway had been smashed.
No was injured in this incident.
Investigators are treating this as a gang-related shooting, and are looking for the weapon that was used.
