For the third year in a row, the Butte County Air Quality Management District wants to help you replace your home's wood burning device.
As part of a wood burning device change out program, the district is offering vouchers to anyone who qualifies for the replacement of an old wood burning device.
The general voucher is for a $1,000 credit for EPA certified wood burning devices, or $1750 for either gas or pellet devices.
The district is also offering a limited number of income qualified vouchers of up to $3,000 in credit towards a new heating device.
The district also wants applicants to be aware that the voucher does not cover the entire cost of the new EPA certified device, installation or any permits that may be required.
