The Butte County Board of Supervisors unanimously voted today to repeal the county’s newest medical marijuana ordinance and send it to the voters in November.
The ordinance would limit marijuana grow sizes and plant counts based on property owners’ lot size.
Last week the County Clerk confirmed enough signatures were submitted to force a referendum on the ordinance. The group known as “Butte County Citizens against irresponsible government submitted more than 9,000 valid signatures.
