Butte County officials are teaming up with Catalyst domestic violence services to help spread domestic violence awareness in the community.

The "End Domestic Violence" magnetic ribbon campaign kicked off at Enloe Medical Center this morning. Purple ribbon magnets were put on E.M.S. vehicles, showing support for the effort to reduce violence between couples in Butte County.

The magnet campaign is part of domestic violence awareness month.

According to Catalyst nearly one in four women in the U.S. reports experiencing violence by a current or former partner at some life.

If you or someone you know is a victim of domestic violence Catalyst is available to help. Call the domestic violence 24-hour-crisis line at 1-800-895-8476 or drop by the Chico Drop-in Center located at 330 Wall St. Suite 50. An Oroville center is also available and that location can be reached by calling (530) 532-6427.
