Butte County elected officials sworn in for new terms

New and re-elected Butte County officials took oath to new terms Monday morning.

Hundreds of people gathered at the Board of Supervisors chambers in Oroville Monday as eight elected officials raised their hands to serve a 4-year-term.

Among the officials sworn in were District Attorney Mike Ramsey, taking his eighth oath as DA and Sheriff-Coroner Kory Honea. Also sworn in were newly elected Assessor Diane Brown and Superintendent of Schools Tim Taylor.

Their official duties began today at noon.
