After a five month investigation, Butte County District Attorney Mike Ramsey says a May shooting involving a Butte County Sheriff's Deputy was justified.
Sheriff's Deputies responded to a family disturbance call in May and when they arrived they found Corey Lee Bush armed with what turned out to be a pellet gun.
According Ramsey, Bush initially complied with demands to put the weapon down, but he then picked the gun up again and pointed it at Deputy Cornelius, who shot and killed Bush.
Authorities say Bush called 9-1-1 himself, saying he wanted to die and that he wanted deputies to kill him. Bush's mother also told investigators that her son was suicidal
