The 2013 Butte County Crop Report was released Thursday and it shows a nearly $150 million increase in crop production over the last year.
According to the report the estimated gross value of agricultural production in Butte County for 2013 totaled $869,594,761. The 2013 total is a $148.16 million increase over the 2012 total of $721,434,000.
The 2012 total increase of in gross value of agriculture is 51 percent above the 10-year county average of $575,522,000.
The report shows the gross values, but does not reflect the net farm income or costs of production.
The highest valued crops in Butte County in 2013 were walnuts, rice and almonds.
