Butte County celebrates The NorCal Apple Crunch

To celebrate National Food Day, some people are encouraging others to eat healthy and share it on social media.

Food Day is a national campaign to promote exercise, better food choices, and easier access to healthy food and options.

A partnership between Butte County Health Department, UC CalFresh, and the Center for Healthy Communities (Chico State), asks people to grab an apple, take a selfie, and use the hashtag #NorCalAppleCrunch.

People can join the apple crunch by heading to their local grocery stores to pick apples.

Grocery Outlet, Food Maxx, SavMor/Holiday, S&S Produce, and Noble Orchards.
