The Butte County Board of Supervisors made substantial changes to their medical marijuana ordinance today.
Action News Now confirmed with supervisor Larry Wahl the board unanimously voted on making the ordinance stricter.
They’re doing this by limiting grow sizes for properties of different sizes.
Properties 10 acres or more may now only grow up to 150 square feet.
Supervisor Wahl said this effectively changes the maximum plant count from 99 to somewhere in the range of 12.
Supervisors also heard from the numerous audience members, part of a packed house.
Supervisor Wahl said that's how the Supervisors came to make the changes.
