What a whirlwind year it's been for former Butte College and Arizona State wide receiver Rashad Ross.
Last September, the Redskins waived Ross in the first round of cuts.
The Chicago Bears scooped him up but released him later in the season. Ross rejoined Washington as a practice-squad player.
But after a preseason in which he hauled in 25 passes for 266 yards and four touchdowns, all tops in the league, Ross has now earned a spot on the Washington Redskins' 53-man roster.
He joins a Washington wide receiving corps which includes Pierre Garcon, Desean Jackson, Andre Roberts, Jamison Crowder and Ryan Grant.
Ross could also see time at kick-returner.
Washington kicks off the season against Miami in week one.
