Ten people were taken to area hospitals Friday morning after a Greyhound bus collided with an SUV in downtown Redding.
The crash happened around 5:30 a.m. at the intersection of Shasta and market Streets downtown. Redding Police say a silver Honda C-R-V may have run a red light while traveling southbound on Market Street.
10 of the 45 passengers on the bus, including two young children sustained minor injuries or had complaints of pain.
Investigators say alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the accident.
Shasta Street was closed for about an hour and the collision is still under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Redding Police Department.
