Police are conducting an investigation after burglars made off with cash from Sierra View Elementary School in Chico over the weekend.

According to the Chico Police Department, the break in happened sometime between late Saturday afternoon and early Sunday morning.

The burglars broke a window at the school's main office, ransacked the building and then stole money belonging to the Parent Teacher Association, as well as other donations that had been made to the school.

The burglary is the second of a Chico elementary school in the last three weeks. Thieves stole thousands of dollars in electronics from Marigold Elementary the weekend of January 24.

Anyone with information on either incident is asked to contact the Chico Police Department.
