Officers were called out to Park Avenue Tire and Automotive around 11 p.m. Wednesday night for a report of a burglary. Someone from the business told police that he spotted a man inside the shop removing computer equipment and stacking it near a door. The suspect took off through a window before police arrived. When officers arrived on scene they noticed that the suspect had removed bars on one of the windows to gain access to the business. A few minutes later officers located the alleged burglar, Daryl Woolford, hiding in a nearby field. When Woolford didn't cooperate with officers a police K-9 was sent in and bit Woolford before he was taken into custody. Officers found Woolford in possession of several stolen items from the business. Police say he also had 5 warrants for his arrest and was released on his own recognizance for another recent burglary.
