Fire crews have contained two brush fires that were sparked when a pine tree fell on a power line near Paradise Wednesday morning.

The first fire was reported near Clark and Airport Roads around 9:40 a.m., and a second blaze broke out nearby just a few minutes later. Fire officials say crews contained the fire within an hour and no structures were ever threatened or damaged.

Both fires burned about an acre of land.
