Cal Fire Tehama County is attacking a 35 acre blaze south of Corning that has already destroyed at least one structure, and is threatening several more. According to firefighters, the Dora Fire was reported around 5:00 p.m. Friday, on Dora and Marguerite Avenues, which spread rapidly.
Fire officials say one structure has burned and spread rapidly. Wind gusts of up to 15 miles per hour were reported in the area.
Road closures are in effect for Columbia and Viola Avenues.
Firefighters has contained another vegetation fire on Plymire which burned about 35 acres, the vegetation fire started at the Tehama County Landfill.
